    Hello John,

    First of all, you need to login to your dashboard. Then you need to go to
    Appearance->Customize->General Settings.
    There you will see a section Home Background Image. You can upload the main image from here. You will see some more options below like heading and subheading.
    Hope this helps

    Thanks

    Is there a way to have an image fade up (like the text does) on the home page?

    Hello Michael,

    Yes but where do you want to add fadeUp animation. I mean what section do you want this.

    Thanks

    It would be on the home page/landing page. I would like an image with words next to it if possible. other than just the heading/subheading text. I’ve tried to change just the background image to accomplish this but it doesn’t look good on mobile that way.

    I’ll attatch a screenshot of the page and also an example of the look I’m trying to do.

    Hello Michael,

    Please follow these steps. You have to change few files code also.

    Step 1) Find customizer.php (theme root folder -> inc -> customizer -> customizer.php)

    Step 2) Open file in any text editor ie notepad or sublime text editor

    Step 3) Go to line no 88. You will find this line ‘sanitize_callback’ => ‘prasoonpro_sanitize_html’, . Replace this line by ‘sanitize_callback’ => ”,. We just removed the sanitize callback function here.

    Step 4) Go to header.php (theme root folder -> header.php)

    Step 5) Open this file in editor.

    step 6) Go to line no 150. and replace this line <p><?php echo esc_html(get_theme_mod( ‘home_subheading_text’ ));?></p> with <p><?php echo get_theme_mod( ‘home_subheading_text’ );?></p> . We just removed the esc_html function here

    Step 7) Go to Appearance-> Additional CSS

    Step 8) Add this css .promo-section p{width:100%;}

    Step 9) Go to Appearance->Customize->General Settings

    Step 10) Leave the Heading Text blank

    Step 11) Enter the following code in Subheading Text

    <div class="row">
    <div class="col-md-6">
    <div style="text-align:right;"><h1 style="line-height:1.2em;">Level up <br/><span style="font-weight:900;">YOUR</span><br/> Business</h1></div>
    </div>
    <div class="col-md-6" style="margin-bottom:30px;">
    <img style="width:350px" src="http://localhost:8080/prasoonfinal/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/office.jpg">
    </div>

    Change the path of image here and width also if you need.

    Step 12) Save & Publish

    Step 13) Change the font and heading size from customizer ie H1 heading

    That’s it. Let me know if this helps you 🙂

    But problem is these changes will lost if you update the theme. Do you have a child theme?

    Thanks

    I don’t have a child theme currently. Should I create one before I do the steps above?

    Hello Michael,

    Just give me some time to create a child theme. I will let you know when I am done. You are using the premium version of prasoon I guess. I will also create a readme file for this.

    So everything seemed to work well and it looks good while in Customize but when I save and publish, it ends up showing the code in the subheading on my site.

    Hello Michael,

    First of all, Create an account for me so that I can view your website.
    Few questions.

    1) Are you using the child theme I have provided?
    2) if you have child theme, then you have to copy and paste the header.php and customizer.php from parent to child in same locations and then you can edit it so that changes only remain in child theme.
    3) Please attach or send me a link to those 2 files customizer.php and header.php you have changed so that i can view the code from my end.

    Thanks

    Hello Michael

    I am still not able to view the front page. Its showing me the same maintenance page. Okay no problem. I think i have found the problem. You have copied my code but the single quote should be a plain single quote. You should always do the plain paste as it takes the styles of the page you’ve copied from. I have attached the new files here. You can see the single quote difference here

    https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0nl0pb719jw8wrm/AAAvnJK-D_anNo6wADB8kxJwa?dl=0

    I also noticed that you are not using the latest version of theme. You can update the theme as you are using the child theme. Your changes will not affect.

    So next you need to copy the customizer.php to your child theme exact location as parent theme. ie child theme root->inc->customizer/ and paste here this file. Create the folders if required. (you need to create the customizer folder here).

    Next copy the header.php and paste in exact same location as parent theme ie in root

    One final last step you need to do is to link the customizer.php in child functions.php (not required for header.php). Use this for linking

    require dirname( __FILE__ ) . ‘/inc/customizer/customizer.php’;

    and check for single quote problem also while pasting this code.

    Now try again saving the data from admin.:)
    Let me know if this helps you

    Thanks

    Hello Michael,

    Remove // from the line no 30 and save.

    The // is used to comment a line in php so it will not run. I used there to show an example there therefore i commented it with //

    Try again after clearing caches. This time it will work.

    Thanks
